Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Base

  • 2-3 overripe bananas mashed
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz standard
  • 2 large eggs

Optional Add-ins

  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Mash bananas in a mixing bowl. Add eggs and mix until combined.
  • Add dry cake mix and stir just until combined. Fold in optional add-ins.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for best sweetness and texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4 days or freeze slices for later. Try using spice cake mix for a cozy twist.
