This creamy and tangy horseradish sauce is made in minutes with sour cream, Dijon mustard, and zesty prepared horseradish. It’s the perfect bold condiment for beef, fish, sandwiches, and more.
In a bowl, mix together sour cream, horseradish, Dijon mustard, vinegar or lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Stir until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust for heat, tang, or seasoning.
Optional: Add sugar or garlic powder to balance flavor. Garnish with chives or herbs if desired.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors blend. Overnight chilling recommended.
Notes
Use fresh horseradish for more heat. Store in the fridge up to 7 days in an airtight container. Not suitable for freezing due to dairy separation. Adjust to taste with lemon, sugar, or mayo.
