  • 6 Granny Smith apples or any firm tart apple
  • 2 cups assorted Jolly Rancher candies neon-bright colors preferred
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Remove wax coating. Insert sticks into tops and set aside on parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, combine Jolly Ranchers, sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until candy melts and reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  • Add neon food coloring and flavor extract if using. Stir gently to combine.
  • Dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, rotating for full coverage. Let excess drip off, then place on parchment to set.
  • Optional: While sticky, decorate with sprinkles or glitter. Let apples cool for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Wrap cooled apples in wax paper and store at room temperature for 3–5 days. Avoid refrigeration to prevent stickiness. Use a candy thermometer to ensure a crisp, glossy finish.
