Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz

Toppings

  • 1 cup shelled pistachios roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  • Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla and salt. Gradually add flour and mix until dough forms.
  • Press dough evenly into the prepared pan. Smooth with hands or spoon to form the base layer.
  • Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the base. Drizzle evenly with sweetened condensed milk. Add white chocolate chips if using.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are golden and the top is gently bubbling. Cool completely in pan before slicing.
  • Lift using parchment and cut into bars. Chill before slicing for cleaner edges if desired.

Notes

Chilling before cutting gives clean slices. Add a sprinkle of sea salt or a drizzle of white chocolate for a festive touch. Use almonds or pecans as a variation if desired.
