Instructions
In a microwave-safe mug or bowl, melt the butter for 20-30 seconds.
Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
Add the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
Mix in the flour until the batter is fully incorporated.
Stir in optional add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, if desired.
Microwave for 40-60 seconds, checking at 40 seconds. The brownie should be set but slightly soft in the center.
Let cool for a minute before enjoying!
Notes
For a fudgier brownie, reduce the cooking time slightly. For a cake-like texture, add an extra teaspoon of flour.
